The Mosaic Express
 
The Mosaic Express is an interactive phosphate industry experience on wheels. This custom 42-foot motor coach provides children and adults with an educational journey through the history, operations and benefits of Florida phosphate and its importance to global farming and food production.
 
Check out our display of prehistoric fossils, watch corn dance before your very eyes and experience how Florida phosphate plays a part in our watershed, the state's economy, the nation's food supply - and your everyday life!

Interior

The interactive exhibit encourages visitors to push buttons, spin wheels and slide panels to reveal narrative and moving images - creating a dynamic and memorable experience for all ages. The Mosaic Express incorporates agriculture, geology, biology, ecology and engineering - all disciplines that play a role in our phosphate mining and fertilizer production business.

The Mosaic Express was developed in partnership with Creative Arts Unlimited, Inc., of Pinellas Park, Florida. The Mosaic Express has a wheelchair lift and meets ADA requirements for accessibility.

Scheduling Request - Criteria for Your Event
  • Open to the public at a free or affordable admission charge
  • Located in one of these Florida counties: Hardee, Manatee, DeSoto, Charlotte, Sarasota, Lee, Polk or Hillsborough
  • Expected attendance of at least 2,000 people
  • At least six weeks advance notice
If you would like to request The Mosaic Express for your public event, please ensure it meets the criteria above and the Request Form  is filled out completely. Please submit your request with at least six weeks of lead time.  A response to your request may take up to 10 business days. There is no fee for having The Mosaic Express at your event. 
 
We will consider requests outside of Florida if The Mosaic Express is already scheduled to attend an event in your state during the same time period.

The entry/exit door for visitors is located at the rear of the vehicle on the passenger side.  We prefer the vehicle to be parked on a hard, level, even pavement surface. 
 
Schools
The Mosaic Express is designed for students at or above the 4th grade reading level. It may be scheduled to visit selected schools within close proximity to Mosaic's operations/properties in Polk, Hillsborough, Hardee, Manatee and DeSoto counties, or at educational events in adjacent counties.  To be considered, please email information about your school using the Request Form.
