Citizenship and community involvement
are an integral part of Mosaic's corporate philosophy. In addition
to the company's corporate contributions, our employees give of
their time and energy to help nourish the communities in which we
live and operate. Contact the Mosaic representative

Our mission is to help
the world grow the food it needs. And right here in our corner of
the world, we're
partnering with Feeding America Tampa Bay through food drives and
financial support to help meet critical needs in its 10-county
operating region. Through the Home Runs For Food partnership with
the Tampa Bay Rays, pledging $500 for every home run at a home
game, Mosaic has donated $170,500 over the past two years.
This program was extended to the 2011 and 2012 spring training
games as well, benefiting Harry Chapin Food Bank and its agency
partners in Charlotte County with $27,500 in donations.
As the leader in crop nutrition, we
are passionate about teaching students and communities how to make
the best use of land. We donated the land and helped fund
construction of facilities for a Leadership Training Center owned
and operated by Future Farmers of America (FFA), an organization
that educates high school students about agriculture.
From student intern programs and
roundtable community forums to educational scholarships, Mosaic is
committed to supporting educational initiatives and local education
foundations. We recognize the value of education, and our employees
routinely participate in school teach-ins, tours and adult
educational programs. We've recently launched The Mosaic
Express, an interactive and educationational experience on
wheels.
Mosaic's Coastal Education Center is
an outdoor classroom located on Mosaic's South Parcel Property just
south of the Riverview plant and the Alafia River. The
centerfacilitates elementary school programs that take children to
the shoreline for hands-on activities and environmental
education. The name of the curriculum is "Where the River Meets the
Bay" and was created by curriculum specialists in coordination with
the local elementary school teachers and principals - and approved
by the Hillsborough County schools.

Mosaic has also been a longtime supporter
of the Hardee County School System's athletic and academic
programs. An annual golf tournament organized by Mosaic has raised
more than $735,000 for athletic programs over the last 25 years.
Similar programs are supported with dollars and volunteer
involvement by Mosaic employees from throughout Tampa Bay and
Central Florida.
We are well aware of the importance of
understanding and preserving diverse ecosystems. Because of this,
we are a steadfast champion of environmental education. In recent
years Mosaic has provided major funding support to
Audubon-sponsored nature programs, Florida zoos, aquariums and Mote
Marine Laboratory's snook enhancement program.
We underwrote the cost of fully
retrofitting a barge to supply the Florida Aquarium with fresh
seawater, a necessity for sustaining its aquaticlife and its
educational programs. The Mosaic Company recently announced a
leadership gift to The Florida Aquarium, based in Tampa, Fla., for
the creation of an education, conference and event facility -
Mosaic Center. This state-of-the-art education center
will meet the needs of local students, providing new traveling
exhibit space to showcase aquatic ecosystems and marine animals
from around the world, as well as Mosaic Center's conference and
event space.
At Mosaic, we strive to go beyond nourishing crops and animals. By
supporting schools and environmental programs, we nourish minds as
well.
At Mosaic, we
believe in partnering with non-profit organizations in ways that
best address their specific needs. This involves monetary
donations, of course, but also the generous support of our
employees through the donation of their time and personal
involvement.
When it comes to direct monetary
donations, Mosaic has always been committed to supporting the
United Way. In fact, both of the companies that combined to form
Mosaic, Cargill Crop Nutrition and IMC Global, have strong
traditions of annual employee contribution drives. Employees and
Mosaic have donated over $3.4 million during the 2010 campaign,
with approximately $2.1 million of that earmarked to go right back
into Florida communities.
